March 15, 2019 was the last day Zeena lived. A very rare cancer known as Ewing’s-like-Sarcoma CIC-DUX4 took her away from us. She was initially diagnosed in April 2018 and gave the cancer the best fight anyone could give.
In her short life of 44 years, she made a tremendous impact on so many lives with her infectious smile and kindness.
The entire family is grateful for all the support and prayers that we received during the past year that helped her fight this disease with dignity and strength. Since her passing, we are extremely overwhelmed with the messages of love and support we have been receiving and continue to receive.
Nikhil, Siddharth & myself will miss her very much. And so will her parents, brother and everyone near and dear to her. The only comfort we have is she is no longer in pain.
In lieu of flowers, we suggest sending contributions to the Sarcoma Foundation of America to help support the fight.
