My younger brother, Stephen, passed away on September 27, 2008 due to brain cancer. Alternative treatments were a huge part of his battle against cancer, when oncologists had run out of options. These treatments prolonged his life for at least a year and a half longer than projected, provided a better quality of life, and so much hope. Most alternative medicine is not covered by insurance, creating an extreme financial burden. Lucy's Love Bus is a nonprofit that raises funds for children with cancer who are in need of alternative treatment and financial aid. These treatments may entail music therapy, massage, acupuncture, theraputic horseback riding, experimental medicine, etc.
Stephen died at 12 years old, and this year marks 12 years of him gone. Please join me in giving back to kids just like him - needing hope, peace, and a chance at a cancer-free childhood.
