In 2018, my father was diagnosed with an rare, aggressive colon cancer. Despite an intense chemotherapy regimen, he passed away nine months later. He was an anesthesiologist at Delaware County Memorial Hospital, an active member of our church, a huge supporter of my dance performances, the number one fan of my sister in her swim meets, and an all around caring guy. He was a typical extrovert, and always wanted the best for his friends and family.
My family and I are walking in honor of my father, and I'd like to invite you to join us in this effort. Though we cannot join together for a typical relay for life, we can walk in our neighborhoods in support of all those battling cancer and remember those who lost their lives, including my father.
