December 28th, 2019 the Morello Family lost a bright burning flame in their son, Louis. Full of life, energy and a pure heart, Louis passed peacefully in his sleep. The Morello's lost a son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson and a friend. Anyone that knew him felt his boundless enthusiasm for helping others, and this served him well throughout life. Known as a problem solver and peacemaker, it was his second nature to find solutions and bring harmony to those around him. This was the case for his love of animals and always trying to help. Louis cherished his pets. Kismet, a Boxer and Bella, a Great Dane, was a best friend for 12 years. His father Joe has been a longtime supporter of the Oyster Bay Lions Club and was the recipient of the Robert J. Uplinger Distinguished Service award in 2013. Because of this, the Oyster Bay Lions Club, with the help of the Morello Family are taking donations in honor and memory of Louis' love of animals. All the funds collected will be donated to the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Inc. and America's VetDogs-Veteran's K-9 Corps, Inc. in Smithtown, NY. For Louis, this is something that he would have loved; having service dogs helping people is a double win and he is smiling down with that big grin. Any amount of money is appreciated and all donations are 100% tax deductible.
