On April 19, 2021, Karen Baker lost a short battle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). A devoted wife, caring mother and exceptional grandmother, Karen fully lived the life she was given, but left us with far too much life yet to live. On February 27, Karen was at a grandchild's event (she never missed one), commenting that she wasn't feeling well. Less than two months later, she was gone.
A service for Karen will be held on Sunday, April 25 @ 3:00pm at Platts Funeral Home on Belair Road. Visitation will start an hour before the service.
AML is a brutal disease, progressing quickly and without mercy. Instead of flowers or other gifts, please consider making a significant contribution to fight AML. In her memory, let's fight this cancer so others can live the life that was taken from her.
