"My Sister Heidi"
A poet, a romantic, and a lover of Ogunquit Beach...
She loved an unexpected “day of spring” in the middle of Winter, Sunday drives with the windows down and the radio on the highest volume, singing out loud...
She especially loved Greg Allman, & John Lennon.
She could make anyone laugh, but mostly loved laughing at herself.
She loved snow days, thrift shops, ghost stories, true crime, & Larry her beloved kitty...
She was never a “Mom”, but loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own, sending them specially selected gifts, which were always wrapped in colorful tissue.
She loved to read, and write. She loved life.
She passed much too soon. She wanted to live, and had so much more to give...
My sister Heidi was diagnosed with ovarian cancer on 12/31/06.
She died on 12/31/07.
She was 50 years old.

We're holding this fundraiser in honor of Heidi thirteen years after her passing. I've always wanted to honor Heidi, who was taken from our lives far too soon. This year has been especially challenging for everyone, so I wanted to come together to raise money for such a special charity. There isn't someone I don't know whose life hasn't been affected by cancer in some way or another.
All the donations are directly donated to the American Cancer Society. Along with your donations I will be mailing you a handmade "Heidi's Heart" in memory of her, or your loved one who was also taken by this devastating disease. Once you donate, just send me a private message on Facebook with your address and I will send one to you.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
