Our father and husband, Dr. Mark Rumbak of blessed memory, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive pleomorphic sarcoma. After a fierce and valiant fight, he succumbed to the illness only 7 weeks after receiving his diagnosis.
He spent upwards of 3 decades as an expert in pulmonary/critical care, teaching endless amounts of doctors and nurses at Tampa General Hospital and saving countless amounts of lives. From the janitor to the surgeon, our father would stop and talk to everyone he met. He spent time with all patients and their families and judged nobody by his or her station in life.
Nothing was more important to our father than his family, and we were blessed to have him in our lives and will never forget him.
Please consider donating to this cause so that our father can continue to have a hand in the future care and wellbeing of those who need it, and may a cure be found so that nobody has to lose a loved one again.
May his memory be a blessing for all who knew and loved him.
