In March of 2012, beloved daughter, sister, and friend Chelsea Nicole was fatally wounded in a motorcycle accident. In the aftermath of loss and grief, our family was able to find some peace and comfort within the COPE community. COPE is a not for profit organization that gives support to families who have suffered a traumatic loss by offering services such as groups, workshops, and recommendations for outside resources. Being a not for profit, COPE relies heavily on donations to continue their services. One of the ways they do this is by hosting an annual walk each year for families who have been involved with organization, and giving individuals the opportunity to give back to the COPE community. We hope to raise any amount to support COPE and the beautiful work they do. September marks the month that would have celebrated Chelsea's 31st birthday. We hope that this fundraiser will be a way to show our apprecaition for the beautiful times Chelsea shared with us. About Chelsea: I like to describe Chelsea as one of the most beautiful, vivacious characters. She always had a moment for her loved ones, and it only became fitting that Chelsea went on to be a nurse inorder to continue that devotion in other aspects. While Chelsea was known for her shenanigans, she was also kindhearted. From a young age, Chelsea made it her perogative to bring rescue animals home, including the time she casually left 3 chickens in the yard in the hopes that '...no one would notice.' Chelsea had a fierce sense of style that she often flaunted on nights out with friends, especially her bff and 'wifey,' Ashley. Chelsea had a way with everyone, and few who met her left without feeling like they had been seen and heard. Chelsea was an adventurer and trouble maker, but above anything, she was a beautiful soul that we were blessed to share so many moments with. When I remember her, I know that though her time with us was brief, she left an imprint on something an entire generation is striving to be remembered for: a dedication to finding love and peace in everything, even the toughest of times.
