Please donate to the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in memory of my mother Charlotte. She came to America from Germany as a war refugee in 1946. She endured many hardships in life, surviving polio as a child, the ravages of war as a teen, the loss of her family members, and displacement as a refugee. After coming to America as a solider's wife, becoming a citizen and raising her family, she became a nurse, finding meaning and purpose in her life by caring for others. She retired from nursing at 65. Five months later, she was diagnosed with Leukemia.
The LLS was there from the beginning to help my mother and family. They supported us with friendship and resources to help us cope with daily chemo, aches and pains, hair and weight loss, and lengthy hospital stays. Medical treatments provided by LLS made it possible for her to come home from the hospital, giving us a few more precious moments together as she fought bravely against this disease.
LLS is more than just another charitable organization, it is made up of people like you and me who have been touched by cancer and understand the importance of maintaining hope during the day-to-day struggles for our loved ones.
Money raised from the your donation allows LLS to fund treatments for patients who are suffering from all forms of blood cancers. LLS' funding saves thousands of lives every day. You are saving lives when you contribute, because of LLS' work supported by people like you.
Please make a donation today in memory of my mom and the many thousands like her who are affected by blood cancers!
