In Memory of Barrie Friedenberg

It seems unbelievable  that it has been five years since Barrie passed away.  Not a day goes by that I don't miss her, especially that infectious laugh!  As many of you are aware, my sister had a rare cancer, cholangiocarcinoma ( bile duct cancer).  It was early in her diagnosis that her husband Mike and I became familiar with the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation (CCF).  They provided us with information about the disease , as well as doctors and drug companies that were working on cutting edge treatments and drug trials.  It is for this reason that Gail, Barrie's amazing sister- in- law ( who has become family)  and  I  set up this "Go Fund Me Campaign" to raise money for CCF, in honor of our beautiful Barrie.    We want to celebrate Barrie, her vibrancy, dynamic personality and the evelasting impact she had on all of us.  You can donate anonymously, or not at all, but either way please read about this foundation and the  impressive work that they do to find a cure and improve the quality of life for those affected by cholangiocarcinoma.
