Jill was a true force of nature who was many things to many people: inspiration, daughter, sister, love, friend. She was passionate about a great many things--music, nature, her family and friends, her fans, and animals and animal welfare, to name a few.
Today, September 2, would have been Jill's 43rd birthday. Instead of celebrating with us, though, she lost her long-time battle with mental illness on August 14, 2018. Instead of mourning our loss of her, let's celebrate her life and honor all she has meant to all of us by supporting one of the causes most important to her, the cause she herself would most want us to support in her name--animal rescue.
Best Friends Animal Society has been chosen as the recipient of this memorial donation drive as they have a significant footprint in both the Los Angeles area and nationwide. Best Friends also is a leader in the no-kill shelter movement, bringing together passionate individuals, shelters, and a coalition of animal welfare organizations to end the euthanization of pets in shelters. For more information about the organization, please visit la.bestfriends.org/nkla-no-kill-los-angeles.
Please join in donating today. Any amount large or small will help Best Friends with its mission to Save Them All. If we all band together in Jill's memory, we can make a huge difference in the lives of homeless pets. And that would make her proud.
