I was lucky enough to get a spot in the TCS NYC Marathon! I had literally never run a race before, so it made perfect sense, right? From the start I hoped to raise some money for a good cause. My dad knew I was planning to run and hoping to raise money for Parkinson’s research, but that took on new meaning for me when he passed away in March after a 17+ year battle with the disease. He fought like he always lived, quietly and humble. Raising money in his name is another way for me to honor him and help anyone effected by Parkinson’s currently or in the future. I’m in it for the long run!
