Recently, I visited The Gambia with She’s the First to learn more about the challenges girls are facing worldwide and how I can use my voice to support girls’ rights. I learned that even though the issues facing girls are complex, there is something we all can do to make sure every girl, no matter where she is born, is educated, respected, and heard.
Your contribution will help fund programs for girls who want to choose their own futures, follow their dreams, and be the first in their families to have a complete education. She's the First teams up with local organizations in 11 countries to reach 7,800+ girls. I've been lucky enough to meet with one of their partner programs, in The Gambia, and that one trip was enough to convince me that with the right mentor and resources, girls can do literally anything. Their confidence and ability to stand up for what they wanted inspired me to speak up too.
For my 23rd birthday, my wish is to support girls in The Gambia and around the world with She’s the First. It’s the best gift I could ask for!
