Feburary 13th-17th, areas in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi were hit with record low freezing temperatures, snow, and ice. Many people were devistated with lack of power, heat, water, hot food, and busted pipes.
Over 4 million people in Texas were left without power
As a result, people have been left with severe damages to their houses, loss of income due to not being able to travel to work on slick roads left without food. Homeless shelters have also faced a scarcity of resources and unable to provide proper resources.
Many members of the Interscholastic Equestrian Association in Zone 7 experienced the effects of this freeze firsthand. Our goal is to raise funds necessary to provide aid to as many people affected by this winter storm as possible.
