My Story
Nonprofit In A Nutshell
Kings County Tennis League (KCTL) is a 501(c)(3) that uses tennis as an instrument for youth development and community building in underserved neighborhoods in Brooklyn, NY.
I have been volunteering for KCTL for almost 4 years now, and it is one of the most enjoyable, fulfilling things I've ever done. In all my years of teaching tennis, the kids at KCTL are by far the excited about learning the sport. I'm raising money so that kids in these communities have access to top-quality tennis instruction and resources, just as I did growing up.
About The Fundraiser
KCTL is hosting a tennis tournament fundraiser with the goal of raising a grand total of $7,000. Each participating player is expected to raise at least $350.
Where Your Awesome Donation Is Going
The amount we raise will turn an under-utilized space in the heart of a Brooklyn community — Lafayette Gardens — into four permanent public tennis courts (one full-length court, and three miniature courts) along with a classroom. This space will be used to meet increasing demand for a place where kids can learn, play, and grow in an environment that’s supportive and fun.Feel free to scroll through the photos modeling this concept!
