So as you may know I was a bit of an introvert sophomore year. I may have mustered up the courage to run for class president but that was certainly the exception and not the rule. I never really knew much about what it took to be a true leader. Luckily I was nominated to be Grove City's representative for the HOBY seminar. I went into the 4-day conference a little skeptical of whether or not I'd actually learn anything useful there. However all the doubt disappear as the days went on. I was taught a lot about tolerance and how to be a true, effective leader. I also was blessed to make a group of friends that I still talk to every day. I attribute all the confidence and leadership skills I have today to the 4 days I spent at HOBY. I sincerely believe that every teenager should get the opportunity to attend this wonderful conference and have their lives changed. So again I only ask that you at least help spread the word about my fundraiser. Thank you so much for your time!
