We are incredibly grateful for having been introduced to Pittsburgh Urban Christian School. It is a positive, encouraging and hands-on learning environment and Eden, Jamir & Mya have thrived in the teaching styles of this school. Almost every time I (Kelly) walk in the doors, the headmaster, principal or another teacher will stop me and tell me something positive they observed in one of my kids. That's pretty cool!
PUCS is a nonprofit who does not received federal funding for their students. To help keep this great education accessible to our family as well as families of all walks of life, we happily join in this once-a-year fundraiser. You don't even have to buy something that you most likely don't want....so your complete donation goes directly to the school!
In exchange for the money they raise, the entire school & staff will be out in Wilkinsburg and areas of the school community picking up trash on Friday, May 10. An important piece of it to help clear trash from the waterway that flows through Frick Park so that the city water does not get blocked or contaminated.
The school has challenged each student to raise $400. So that gives us a daunting goal of $1,200. But we hope through the generosity of our family and friends that we can make that happen. Thank you for supporting our great education!!
