Dear all,
Welcome to this new St. Theresa's Gofundme page! In these troubling times I am glad for this initiative of the Archdiocese of Newark that allows us to reach out to you in this way. I have already written and mailed a letter to you to share with you how much you are in my thoughts and in my prayers at this time. If anything, this ordeal can help us tremendously to strengthen the ties of friendship and affection which unite us as one. I am moved by the support of many parishioners who have reached out to us (Fr. Michele and myself) to ask how we are, how our families (in Italy) are doing and if we need something. Thank you, your heart and your thoughfulness will not go unoticed by the Lord.
We are constantly updating our Parish website with information concerning our Parish life and the initiatives scheduled. Please refer to http://www.thechurchofsttheresa.org/ for an update on our situation. We are currently video recording the Sunday Mass and transmitting them on the website: our webmaster, Barry Heil, is constantly enriching the site with prayers, novenas, update from the Holy Father and many other news. Thank you Barry for your dedicated ministry. We will also soon open up a Facebook page (2.Fathers.For.St.Theresa) in which we will post prayers and meditations, besides the celebration of Sunday Mass.
I am asking you to help us raise $ 7,000 because this is what will allow us to keep our Church running smoothly and this is what is approximately your weekly contribution to the Church of St. Theresa's. During these years that I have been in St. Theresa's, I have come to know you as community that always raises to the challenge. I think it is because you have esperienced--as well as I did and do to this day--that we never win God in generosity. So let me thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart. And let us pray alltogether that this moment might pass soon and we will all come out of this ordeal, stronger in faith, closer in our relationships and more positive about the the future.

The Archdiocese of Newark
Welcome. The Archdiocese of Newark is coordinating with the team at GoFundMe to provide one online location for the faithful to support the critical needs of their own parish (through this page) or other parish communities (through the Parishes in Need fund). The faithful may also contribute through their usual channels (e.g., envelopes, other online giving, the Annual Appeal).
Please consider a tax-deductible contribution to your parish on the parish’s GoFundMe page, or to the Parishes in Need fund, which will be used to conduct outreach to those in need and support those communities struggling to continue to pay their employees and church utility bills through this crisis. Contributions raised through the parish GoFundMe page will benefit that parish.
Cardinal Tobin has waived the usual archdiocesan assessment for contributions raised through this initiative. GoFundMe does not charge a platform fee (0%). There is a 0% platform fee and only an industry-standard payment processing fee of 1.9% + $0.30 per donation. If a charity receives a donation of $100, they will net $97.80. Donors will also have the option to tip GoFundMe Charity to support their continued business.
