The Humane Society of the Delta has been saving the lives of homeless animals in Phillips County, Arkansas since 2012. Thousands of dogs and cats have been saved since. Each animal that comes in is vaccinated, microchipped, treated for skin conditions, given heartworm, flea, and tick prevention, and tested for heartworms. The second an animal comes through our doors, their medical costs begin rising.
When a dog is adopted, their adoption fee rarely covers the full cost of their stay, and we generally lose a couple hundred dollars per dog we care for. Over time, our expenses have ballooned with the emergencies and neglect cases that have come our way.
We have been able to squeeze by, but now we find ourselves with a bill of $20,000 that needs to be paid to our biggest vaccine and medication supplier for us to continue purchasing our supplies at a discounted cost.
The Bissell Pet Foundation has so very generously offered us a matching grant of $10,000 to help us pay off this expense. But, we need YOUR HELP! The only way we will be able to pay ANY of this bill off is if we recieve $10,000 in donations to match Bissell's generous grant.
We are so grateful that the Bissell Foundation believes in us, and we have faith in our amazing community that we can make this happen!!!
Please, please, please consider a donation, big or small. Let's make this happen for the dogs!!!
