The COVID19 pandemic has hit New York hard. At the outset of those, the most affected are undocumented immigrants whom for the most part live in the shadows of our society and economy. Undocumented immigrants are the backbone of New York and Newburgh’s economy, working for the most part in businesses labeled as both essential and nonessential; such as construction, restaurants, factories & farms. As of March 22, many families were forced to give up their source of income and were left with no recourse. Our Undocumented community is not eligible for state aid or federal stimulus aid. They are our colleagues, our friends, our families but first and foremost they are our neighbors. “Hoy Por Ti Manana Por Mi - City of Newburgh Undocumented Immigrant Releif Fund” has partnered with “Latinos Unidos of the Hudson Valley” to create a fund & help these underserved members of our community. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help as many families as possible with scholarships ranging from $100 to $250 based on family size. We ask that you consider donating to this cause. 100% of your contribution will go to a family in need. Our team of volunteers will monitor the program at no cost and will continue funding efforts to ensure our ENTIRE community can get through this pandemic.
