When second graders at Houdini Elementary were asked what they would like to do with extra money raised from an art fundraiser they said, "We should make art to make people happy!" The rest of the school agreed. So when the "Wagon Warriors" project was presented, it seemed like the perfect opportunity.
Students had many stories of friends and family members that have been affected by cancer. They took this project very seriously and were excited to think of ideas that would make kids their age happy. After many discussions and ideas, the students voted on "The Dragon Wagon!"
Each student was able to decorate a dragon scale . They also were able to design and decorate the wings, head and tail. Houdini Elementary hopes the Dragon Wagon will bring smiles to the riders!
A special thank you to Houdini's Mr. Mark for cutting and attaching all the extra dragon wagon wood pieces.
