About Relay For Life of Ada County
The Relay For Life movement is the world’s largest and most impactful fundraising event to end cancer. At Relay, we celebrate lives of cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back by fundraising to support lifesaving American Cancer Society programs and services in relevant, engaging and inspirational ways.
Relay For Life of Ada County will be on June 21, 2019 at the Boise Hawks Memorial Stadium from 5pm to midnight. We need your help!
Fighting cancer starts in our community and prevention is key, which is why we've partnered with instructor Katherine Riggs to get you moving!
Your donations will help the American Cancer Society save lives by supporting cancer education and prevention efforts, funding groundbreaking cancer research, and providing free information and services for cancer patients, their families and anyone who needs them.
Meet the Instructor
My name is Katherine Riggs. I am licensed to teach several group exercise formats; one of which is HOT HULA fitness®. I started HOT HULA fitness Home Study Training 2 years ago and was so impressed by what I was studying online that I decided to find the nearest Live Instructor Training to go further. Along the way I’ve met some amazing people including the creator who are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.
As an instructor for Idaho, I’m dedicated to creating a joyful group exercise environment where we can have fun, forget your troubles and get into shape at the same time. Whether you are just beginning or enjoy some of the more advance levels, everyone has a special place in HOT HULA fitness®. Hope to see you on the dance floor with your Smile on your lips and Smile on your Hips.
What inspires you?
My kids. When I was 40 years old I had a heart attack due to being overweight and had lots of medical problem, as I lay in the hospital all I thought about was my kids. They inspired me to love myself and give back and pay it forward, I became an instructor to help people in need with similar experiences and relate to them. It's really inspiring to see people making a difference and choosing a lifestyle change.
