I am thrilled to announce I will be running the 124th Boston Marathon on behalf of the amazing organization, Horizons for Homeless Children. Running the Boston Marathon has been a life goal of mine since I was 15 years old, watching the elite runners pass through my hometown (Framingham, MA). I was lucky enough to get to race in the BAA Invitational Mile in high school and have been itching to cross that finish line again!
I first heard of Horizons for Homeless Children a few months ago and have since realized a new goal; to help raise $10,000 for this incredible non-profit. Horizons for Homeless Children is combating the crisis of child homelessness in Massachusetts. From providing high-quality early education, support for parents, and opportunities for play within family homeless shelters; Horizons for Homeless Children provides a multi-faceted approach to improving the lives of these children. Over the past 19 years, the Horizons Boston Marathon team has raised over $1.8 million in support of the more than 2,000 young homeless children they serve each week throughout Massachusetts.
Please consider donating to this truly remarkable organization and being a part of the fight to end homelessness!
