THANK YOU to all of our supporters!

The COVID-19 pandemic has us re-focusing our energies and intentions for the 2020 event. Unfortunately, our signature ROW is simply not possible this year. Instead, we have created a month-long virtual challenge leading up to our third annual G.H.O.S.T. Walk on Saturday, October 10.

Registration for HOPE for TomorROW 2020 is now FREE!!

You can still create a team, join a team or register as an individual.

Registration will remain open throughout the month...join us!

Challenge #1: SPREAD LIGHT

We challenge you and your team to SPREAD LIGHT while collecting points to win prizes! During the month of September, we encourage you to promote mental wellness and conversation.  A list of challenges will be emailed to registered participants and a survey will be sent at the end of September to tally your score. Prizes include Parkside Cafe gift cards, a Cabot Cheese gift pack, maple syrup and more.

Bingo bonus points will be awarded to those who honor the physical challenge. We would have rowed across the lake and back, approximately 2 miles. We'll challenge you to complete those miles: row, paddle, walk, run, hike, skate, skip, etc. by yourself or with your team. Be creative! Share a photo or video and you'll earn even more points! Friends and family can support your efforts by donating to your fundraising page.

Challenge #2: Fundraising for project HOePpnEr and LCMM

Funds raised for project HOePpnEr facilitate future events and activities. In 2019, project HOePpnEr created and distributed over 1000 T-shirts to promote healthy conversation about teen suicide and prevention, contributed $1000 for grief education and sponsored the 2019 G.H.O.S.T. Walk. Please visit projectHOePpnEr.com for more information.

Individual fundraising goals:

Everyone who registers will get a limited edition re-usable event bag.

Raise $25, get an exclusive event T-shirt as well.

Raise $50, get a cool bucket hat too!

Raise $100, add a fabulous cup.

Raise $500, score a mystery prize!

Raise $1000, and also be entered to win 2 round-trip ticket vouchers on Jet Blue!

Once again, Lake Champlain Maritime Museum has graciously agreed to act as fiscal sponsor for our Hope for TomorROW fundraising efforts. Proceeds will benefit both the Maritime Museum and Project HOePpnEr, however receipts will show a donation to Lake Champlain Maritime Museum only.

Project HOePpnEr

In October 2018, our friend Paul Hoeppner died by suicide.

Suicide is the second leading cause of death in the US for people ages 15 – 24, and Vermont’s suicide rate is higher than the national average.

Project HOePpnEr was created to increase awareness around the catastrophe that is teen suicide and offer courage for teens to say “I need help” and for their loved ones to hear it. The goal of sponsored events is to create opportunities for teens, loved ones and the community to connect authentically and communicate honestly with each other…without judgement. To learn more about Project HOePpnEr, please visit projecthoeppner.com.

Inspired by Paul's love for rowing, Hope for TomorROW was created. Join us to row, remember, connect.

If you are in crisis, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or contact the Crisis Text Line by texting TALK to 741741.

First Call for Chittenden County is 802-488-7777.
