After an arson fire burned our church to the ground, it has been 5 years taking our insurance company to court who under paid our claim, a contractor taking advantage of us and many other hurdles we are finally rebuilding. Not just a church but a community. Since the fire we have been known as a church without a church. That hasn't stopped God though. We have continued to build community through a food program which now feeds over 1000 people per month.
Our struggle is the rising cost of construction and ever changing building codes which were not present when the church was originally built.
God is moving in Homeland for His Glory. We pray that the cost of this project doesn't halt our progress. We are asking our brothers and sisters in Christ to become partners with this awesome work. We thank you in advance for your consideration in donating to help us rebuild our community.
Pictured here is a bible and a cross that did not burn in the fire. The bible was found on the floor opened to Job 18. Three weeks after the santuary fire, our parsonage was set a blaze. Like Job we felt like we were kicked when we were down. Seeing this bible and cross was a ray of hope for Homeland Church of God.
