"Avere Forza" is a new line from Homegrown Jewelry, created with the intention to remember and celebrate our loved ones who have fought cancer. Part of the profit from each piece purchased will be donated directly to the American Cancer Society to fund research and make patients and their families' experiences a little bit better.
This is a little different from our usual collections. “Avere Forza” is a collection of four pieces; one bracelet, one pair of earrings, one ring, and one necklace, each with a cutout heart. The heart is a reminder of the loved ones in our life who have been impacted by cancer. When you purchase a piece from “Avere Forza” part of the profits will be donated to the American Cancer Society. My goal is to raise over $200 for the ACS to fund cancer research, promote healthy lifestyles to help you prevent cancer, find more answers and better treatments, implement lifesaving policy changes, and provide everything from emotional support to the latest cancer information for those who have been touched by cancer. “Avere Forza” means “to have strength” in Italian, I chose this as the title for this collection as a tribute to my grandfather. My Poppy was extremely Italian and we practically shared a name, Francesca and Francesco. Unfortunately, he passed away from cancer a little over two years ago. More recently, his brother also passed from cancer. Seeing the impact this had on my family, I wanted to do something about it. That is why I’ve decided to use this collection to raise awareness about cancer and raise money for the American Cancer Society. If we are able to make a tiny difference in the lives of a patient or their family I would be thrilled. I am hoping to reach our monetary goal by the end of June, so please consider ordering a piece to support this cause!!
