Thank you for visiting our Go Fund Me Page. We are the First Italian Parish in the State of New Jersey. Throughout our 135 years this Church has served countless Italian families. However, today, as the community has evolved and changed, our growing congregation is the tapestry of present-day Jersey City.
Our Mission Statement:
We, the people of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, rooted in tradition, are working to do the will of God in today’s world. We welcome each person to celebrate the Eucharist and to help create harmony for the good of HIS Kingdom.
We are a vibrant and lively community with many young families and young adults, as well as many life-long parishioners who pass on their beautiful traditions to the new generation.
Holy Rosary Church in Jersey City is the home of La Festa Italiana, a 5-day street festival in the middle of August-anticipated by many... We have great music, an abudance of food and of course, our famous wine and peaches and limoncello. This year La Festa will run from August 12-16.
We created this page to coordinate efforts throughout the Archdiocese of Newark to support the critical needs of our parish, other parish communities and those most in need during this critical time in our history. Our goal was set based on our normal weekly collection amount. You can donate through Go Fund Me, or you can mail your weekly envelopes, sign up for our electronic giving (https://giving.ncsservices.org/App/Giving/ncs-3142 ) or continue using Electronic Giving, or drop your envelope in the mail slot in the front door of the Rectory Office (344 6th St., Jersey City, NJ 07302).
During this time that we are unable to meet, I encourage you to watch Mass streamed live on our Facebook page (https://m.facebook.com/holyrosarychurchjc/) Monday through Saturday at 8:30am and on Sunday at 11:00am. We are also posting the recorded Mass every day on Instagram (holyrosarychurchnj).
Please know you are in my prayers, and I ask that you pray for each other as we continue on this journey. I look forward to the day that we will all be together again in our beautiful Church.
Yours in Christ,
Very Rev. Jerzy R. Zaslona

The Archdiocese of Newark
Welcome. The Archdiocese of Newark is coordinating with the team at GoFundMe to provide one online location for the faithful to support the critical needs of their own parish (through this page) or other parish communities (through the Parishes in Need fund). The faithful may also contribute through their usual channels (e.g., envelopes, other online giving, the Annual Appeal).
Please consider a tax-deductible contribution to your parish on the parish’s GoFundMe page, or to the Parishes in Need fund, which will be used to conduct outreach to those in need and support those communities struggling to continue to pay their employees and church utility bills through this crisis. Contributions raised through the parish GoFundMe page will benefit that parish.
Cardinal Tobin has waived the usual archdiocesan assessment for contributions raised through this initiative. GoFundMe does not charge a platform fee (0%). There is a 0% platform fee and only an industry-standard payment processing fee of 1.9% + $0.30 per donation. If a charity receives a donation of $100, they will net $97.80. Donors will also have the option to tip GoFundMe Charity to support their continued business.
Thank you for your generosity to your parish and to those parish communities unable to meet their critical needs alone.
