What can I say? Alex and I love to run. We love our kids. We love running with our kids. We love running from our kids. When we found out we can run and help raise money to provide enrichment to the school (for the kids, right?) we figured it was a win-win. This is our third year running with this bunch of hardcore, maybe crazy, people and I have to say it is definitely one of the hardest, but most fun things we've done.
(the nitty gritty details: On May 10-11, a dedicated and crazy group of Peabody School Parents, Teachers, and Friends are teaming up to run our third Ragnar Cape Relay. Our team is willing to take on this 190-mile course, stretching from Nantasket Beach all the way to the tip of Provincetown because we believe firmly in supporting the public education that is helping to prepare our children to be the leaders of tomorrow. We are running to support The Friends of the Peabody School (FoP), a charitable trust dedicated to enriching the educational environment at the Peabody School in Cambridge, MA. It was formed in the fall of 1990 and each year since then the Friends has raised money to be used for the benefit of the students. When we strap on our running shoes and headlamps (did I mention we’ll be running all through the night?) we will be fueled by the support of our community, people like you. A donation in any amount would bring us closer to our goal of raising $7,500. Can we count on you? )
