Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am 2009 HOBY Colorado alum and this is my 9th year volunteering for the program. HOBY Colorado is participating in the Go Fund Me Holiday Challenge this year, and my goal is to raise $500 to support two deserving students to attend this year's leadership seminar!
I grew up a shy, reserved kid in southwest Denver. When I attended HOBY during my sophomore year of high school, I did not expect the impact it would have on me. I grew personally, in gaining confidence to engage with others and speak my mind. I grew my understanding of leadership and what it means to be a leader in my community. Most importantly, I further developed my passion for service and giving back to the community that has given me so much.
Through HOBY, I was able to attend the University of Denver as a Boettcher Scholar and pursue my passion of educational equity. I now work with Denver Public Schools as an IB Program Manager, working to increase equity and engagement in our college prep programs.
HOBY is a truly transformational experience, and the students who attend go back to their communities as engaged citizens and passionate change agents. I hope you will consider investing in our future leaders by giving to this program, even $10 makes a difference.

OUR IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY
HOBY Colorado alumni have logged thousands of service hours on HOBY’s website, confirming our alumni are returning from their HOBY Seminar empowered and enthusiastic about leading through service. In the last 10 years, HOBY Colorado Leadership Seminar participants have contributed more than 81,000 combined volunteer hours to their communities. Our 2018 Ambassadors have collectively logged 1,800 hours of community service since June, highlighting the ripple effect of the HOBY program in communities across our state!
The HOBY Colorado leadership seminar is offered to high school sophomores at no charge. All fundraising dollars are used to fund the cost of room and board, and the educational and program materials are provided to each of the 200+ students that attend. Your generous contribution will allow outstanding sophomores from across the state to attend the 2019 HOBY Colorado Seminar:
$10 - Provides a HOBY t-shirt to one ambassador
$25 - Provides lodging for one ambassador for one night
$50 - Sponsor-a-Plate - covers the cost of a student's meal for two days of the seminar
$75 - Provides lodging for one ambassador for the seminar (3 nights)
$100 - Provides a HOBY small group (10-12 ambassadors) with HOBY t-shirts
$250 - Support one student with a scholarship to HOBY
$500 - Support two students with scholarships to HOBY
HOBY Colorado is a volunteer run organization and is funded 100% by fundraising. We welcome and are incredibly grateful for donations of any amount. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so your contribution is 100% tax-deductible.
