2020 has presented challenges for businesses globally, but small independent operations are bearing the brunt due to Covid-19 and social revolution. Closures, limited incoming revenue, safety upgrades, pivoting business models, PPE expenses, broken windows, and heavy hearts are just some of the obstacles local businesses are facing daily in this new "normal" we've have been thrown into as a society.
But we know that communities are stronger together...Tucson has proven that time and time again. Historic Fourth Avenue Coalition (HFAC) is a coalition of neighborhoods, business owners, individuals and non-profits united in a mission to preserve the unique identity of Historic Fourth Avene and the surrounding areas while promoting smart, sustainable growth that will benefit the district and Tucson as a whole. We are creating this fundraiser to help further our mission and provide additional, immediate financial support to 4th Avenue businesses.
We know you want to support The Ave, but maybe you don't need take-out right now, or don't have any gifts to buy online for curbside pickup. Here's an alternative that you can throw a few dollars at that will collectively make a huge difference. We want to help How Sweet It Was replace recently broken windows. We want to provide all Avenue businesses with santizer stations and locally-made reusable masks. We want to be there when our member and neighbor mom-and-pops need some extra support. You can make that happen. Donate a little, or go bigger and get some swag for your dollars- $25-49 gets you a sticker set and $50+ gets you the sticker set and a "Masked Required" poster with artwork by John Carillo!
We will post updates about who we are helping so you can really see your positive affect on our community. Thanks in advance for your wonderful support. We look forward to seeing you all on the other side of this. Stay strong, Tucson...and put a mask on!
