Hey everyone! Thanks for considering donating to the Parkinson's foundation. As some of you know my step-father John Mcavoy has Parkinson’s. Although you might not think it based of his insanely positive attitude it is a very restrictive disease. He is truly an inspiration to me and makes competing in these endurance races a breeze knowing the challenges he has to deal with on a day-to-day basis.
September 15th I will be participating in my first Half Iron Man in Atlantic City. This is the biggest athletic challenge I have ever put myself through. I will be swimming for 1.2 miles, biking for 56 miles, and then finishing that all off with an easy 13.1 mile run! I have been training for 3 years for this event and I am extremely excited and nervous. As cheesy as it sounds, raising money for this cause helps push me through each mile of these events. I know I can't let you all down! If you would like to read more about the event or watch me struggle live, you can find more information here: https://www.delmosports.com/events/ironman-703-atlantic-city#intro
Thank you so much for your support and I know John and the Parkinson's Foundation is extremely grateful for any amount you might be willing to give.
