At not even 2 years old, Duke has been through a lot. Shortly after arriving to Husky House, our volunteers noticed that he was having trouble focusing on things. He was immediately taken to the vet and we discovered that Duke had developed juvenile cataracts. Duke had his surgery and is fully recovered. Even though 100% of his vision has been restored, his confidence has not. Duke is still very unsure of himself, untrusting of people and not handling corrections well. It was made known to us that Duke's previous owners, prior to him coming to us, had not used positive training methods, leaving him scared and confused even earlier on.
Duke will be attending a special Doggy Boot Camp program to provide him with the training and confidence he needs. We really want to give Duke a chance to be adopted, finding a forever home of his very own.
Any donations are greatly appreciated.
