Harlem Free Fight Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to using boxing and Brazilian jiu jitsu training to empower and build a strong Harlem community. We provide free martial arts training for youth ages 13-19.
We are currently in a campaign, raising funds for:
- A physical location for our youth to train, feel safe, and have a community that they can call their own
- Equipment to outfit the physical location, such as a boxing ring, heavy bags, mat space, and more
- Student competition fees for USA Boxing and The International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF)
- Training apparel for our students (rash guards, gis, gloves, wraps, etc.)
Your support today ensures that we can continue to move forward in our mission to provide free training for teens and accessible martial arts for our adult Harlem community.
We are a woman and POC-led organization and are Harlem residents with 20 years of martial arts experience, 10 years of nonprofit experience, and 10 years of youth development experience. We are passionate about martial arts, our youth, and our Harlem community. Our aim is to make martial arts accessible to everyone, regardless of income or ability level. We believe that a strong foundation in martial arts from a dedicated coaching team provides discipline, self-determination, and confidence in our youth and adult members of our community.
