Can you help?
Due to the Coronavirus crisis, our theraperutic riding program for individuals with disabilities which serves over 60 riders a week and several Veterans in a ground program, cannot hold lessons, so our income has stopped. We are losing $1400 a week.
In spite of the loss of income, our therapy horses must still be fed and cared for by staff and volunteers. Feed, hay, bedding and equine professional care (Veterinarian, Farrier, Dentist, etc.), mortgage, as well as staff salaries all cost money.
Without your help to support our program, we may not be able to open our doors again. Our program was founded in 1992 to address the need in the county for alternative therapy for individuals with physical, mental & behavioral disabilities.
Over the last 28 years, we have helped thousands enhance their quality of life, build confidence, independence and self-esteem. Riders with physical needs often show improvement in flexibility, blance, muscle strength, circulation & breathing. Plus, we have fun.
At Harmony Farms, the emphasis is on ability, not disability.
If we can raise $1000 by Giving Tuesday, 5/4/20, GoFundMe will match the $1000!
Help us reach that goal and keep our program running. Thank you for your support.
Harmony Farms is a 501C3 charity.
