My wife Dolly and her team at Overseas Volunteer for a Better India have been working passionately to deliver water security for farmers in India.
She spent her holidays in 2019 visiting villages across rural India, meeting Farmers and Water Champions in two states. She was able to connect with many women farmers and field project leads to understand their role in agriculture and water conservation. She conducted workshops and formed alliances with various groups and initiate projects for 2020 and I am really proud to see the outcomes of the team's volunteering effort to revert India's water crisis for the farmers and the resulting impact to the economy.
OVBI Water team have done tremendous work in 2019, bringing water security to about 140 villages across states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Rajasthan impacting close to 160,000 people. This year, during the lockdown, the team continues to innovate on their scaling strategy to meet their goals to bring water security to 5000 villages by 2023.
Join me in supporting the OVBI Team to Eliminate Water Poverty from rural India and transform India from Water Poverty to Water Plenty by the year 2030.
Your contribution of $1500 can bring water security to an entire village of 2000 people.
