In 2013 tragedy struck the Atwood family. At just 21 years old Christopher died from an accidental heroin overdose. After a six-year battle with addiction the family faced the unthinkable loss of a son, brother, and best friend. In the wake of their tragedy came triumph – The Chris Atwood Foundation. Dedicated to addressing the addiction crisis through life-saving overdose reversal drug training and access, family education, stigma reduction, and recovery support services, The Chris Atwood Foundation is saving lives and supporting recovery.
