Last year, Leslie was able to spend Christmas in her new home. She moved in on Christmas Eve after over a year of homelessness. Thanks to the hard work of Leslie and the Center for Living and Learning staff, she now has housing through the Rapid Rehousing Program and was due to complete her paid apprenticeship with Center for Living and Learning last spring.
Fortunately this year, Center for Living and Learning was able to hire Leslie and Adriana to conduct business and employee outreach to educate on Fair Chance Hiring. And now coming in 2020, Leslie will be co-located with our treatment partner, Cri-Help, Inc. to provide employment services to the reentry population completing drug treatment!
We continue to assist hundreds of clients annually transitioning from treatment, incarceration, welfare and homelessness into the workforce with employment and case management services through new grants and contracts. We ask for your help in providing uncovered services to meet the needs of all who visit our site.
We remain the only peer guided and managed nonprofit in the San Fernando Valley!
Please help us continue to assist our clients and families with employment and housing services for 2020!
