Thanks for stopping by my fundraising page to help Parakaleo empower women who are serving globally in starting new churches. They do this by teaching critical skills, coaching their hearts in gospel truth and linking them to others so they can celebrate hard-fought victories. These women then do the same with myriads of others around the world.
Recently I had the joy of participating in City to City's first Africa training intensive. It was amazing to see the vision and commitment of these church planting leaders. But even though we gave our best training, these leaders are concerned for the other 50% of the church planting team--their spouses. In sub-Saharan Africa alone there are leaders from 17 countries who are asking for Parakaleo to come and help them.
Generally at our Intensive training, Shari and I offer a two hour marriage & ministry seminar and that has been enough for church planters to report that this small taste is already affecting their marriages and the way they care for their budding congregations. But a 2 hour seminar merely opens the door. They are desparate for more. Parakaleo has leaders, systems and curricula in place, and they're ready to train. They just need the funds to do it.
Shari's goal is to raise $60,000 this year in order to accomplish the following:
· Keep training Parakaleo’s Chilean and Mexican leaders (July and November) in all the wonderful stuff described on her page
· Offer a short training event in sub-Saharan Africa and India (early 2020) because they heard about it and want their spouses to thrive in church planting ministry
· Keep working for Parakaleo (part of the money raised goes towards paying her salary)
