Hercules Mulligan was a hard to adopt dog at Fairfax County Animal Shelter. He had severe separation anxiety and, as a beagle, would howl and howl if his people weren't home. A wonderful For All Animals volunteer took on the challenge of helping Herc get over his anxiety and helped transform him into the silly love bug he is today.
But last week on a walk, Herc blew out his knee. He is not a spring chicken, but he certainly has a whole lot more to accomplish in his life: so many smells to smell and bones to bury!
Herc's family is currently out of work, due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, but without this surgery Herc's outcome would not be a positive one. When Herc's family reached out to For All Animals for help, we said we would do everything we could. No one should have to lose their pooch during this traumatic time in history for something as simple as knee surgery.
You can see the deposit and surgery estimate in the photos.
