Over the years by serving coffee in the red light districts, the LFI team has met many women working in prostitution as a way to survive and find provision for their needs. As time goes by, they find themselves in cycles and situations that make it more difficult to stop working on the streets even though they desire to leave.
Recently, the LFI CR team met an 18-year-old girl who was six months pregnant and working in the streets of San José. That night she shared her story and her desperate desire to leave the streets. She is at high risk and doesn’t have any support network or close relatives who can help. In the last few days our staff accompanied her to the hospital as she was having complications and sadly she lost the baby.
Her Story can be different. Her life does not have to be as the lives of many women whose conditions have pushed them to choose prostitution as way to survive. Because our team believes that her story can be different, we have partnered with her to create a plan of action to leave the streets.
While she physically recovers from the medical procedure and loss of the baby, you can help her by donating to this campaign. Your donation will provide her with food, transportation, clothes, housing and so much more.
$1,000.00 will cover the following:
