On June 19th, 2017, The Hope Initiative made the case that Henry County needed an amazing building that would serve all things 4-H and provide a large multi-use facility to serve Henry County and the surrounding region. This proposal became The Henry County Expo Center, a Non-Profit 501c3 Organization. This 77,000 square foot building complex will be able to host business and heath conferences, education seminars, athletic clinics, retro dances, school proms, large weddings, class reunions, large animal shows, etc. and be the home of Henry County 4-H and the Henry County Purdue Extension Offices. Also on the 60 acres of Expo Center grounds, one will soon find a new ADA-compliant playground, with modern restrooms, two new rentable shelter houses, several other rentable shelter houses that will undergo future renovation and future walking and hiking paths throughout the grassy and wooded areas. Henry County Memorial Park is the a wonderful place for every citizen in Henry County. It is a safe, peaceful and an inviting place that implores people to make constructive use of more than 238 total acres of parkland. The Henry County Expo Center will build upon that and strive to make Memorial Park better than ever, serving not only Henry County, but the entire region. Exciting times are ahead of us! We hope that you all are as excited as we are as we keep moving forward towards the completion of this amazing project!
