Our poor little Husky boy, Apache, has had a rough start. Going in for a routine neutering, it was discovered that his testicles were undescended (Cryptorchidism). However, after examining Apache, his were not in an area where Cryptorchidism would occur.
Advised by our vet, we took Apache to a specialist. Performing multiple blood tests to check his hormone levels as well as possible deformities, his testosterone levels came back off the charts. This let us know that he had testicles, and they were in fact somewhere in his body.
In order to find and remove them before they caused any major health issues, Apache underwent exploratory abdominal surgery this past Monday, February 18th. His testicles were found and successfully removed.
Doing anything we can for our rescues, we are very grateful that he is healing and on the mend. After many specialists’ visits, tests and a surgery, we are left with extremely high vet bills. Without your generous support we cannot continue to do what we do for dogs like Apache. Please consider donating to help us pay his bill. Any donations are greatly appreciated.
