The Republic of South Sudan is the newest and the most underdeveloped nation in Africa. With a population of a little over 11 million, more than 50% of the population are continuously faced with the harsh realities of food insecurity, scarce resources, and limited access to health services, in addition to other necessities of life.
With the current outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the South Sudanese government has issued a nationwide lockdown, leaving many vulnerable families with no food and limited resources to fight the deadly coronavirus. These families depend on their daily wages to survive, which makes it nearly impossible for them to stay at home for an extended period. With your support, the Nansey Benansio Foundation is seeking to further extend a helping hand to the vulnerable families by providing food supplies among other basic needs to help families cope during these trying times. The Nansey Benansio Foundation goal is to feed 100 or more families that have been greatly affected by COVID-19 pandemic.
The Nansey Benansio Foundation’s team will provide precautionary and safety teaching for the vulnerable families as instructed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and will provide essential items such as sugar, powdered milk, oil, rice, beans, flour, and clean water.
Your support of any amount will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your support. Together we will win the fight against COVID-19.
