Ohlone at Edinburgh Festival Fringe Ohlone College will produce a new work specifically written for Ohlone students by nationally recognized playwright Eugenie Chan and perform it at Ohlone and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (the largest and most prestigious arts festival in the world).
Auditions have been held, actors have been cast, and the playwright is in the process of developing the play and creating a new work for Ohlone students. Rehearsals will begin in September 2019 and the U.S. premiere will be take place in November 2019 at Ohlone College’s mainstage Jackson Theatre. Actors and crew will continue preparations for a run in August 2020 in Scotland at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Ohlone’s Theatre & Dance department is partnering with the International Collegiate Theatre Festival (ICTF), which is a program under WorldStrides, the nation's largest accredited study abroad travel organization for the past 50 years. All donations will be split evenly amongst the participants in the company traveling to Edinburgh. We’re planning lots of fundraising activities and are hoping to help offset the costs for each participant.

The capital is transformed into a non-stop, 24-hour celebration of all types of performance. You will see shows and plug in to a global community of artists from all over the world.
