UPDATE: SUN JUN 10th-Notes from the past week in Guatemala
It was shocking to see how people disintegrated in seconds or were turned to stone statues in the volcanic lava- LOVE is needed in #Guatemala right now - I can still feel the fresh tears on my cheeks of the gentle humble women sobbing in my arms.
This disaster is still unfolding and there have been many more eruptions over the past few days and CONRED have been evacuating many more people.
The volcano is angry she rumbles to the villagers and steals their shoes. She exploded again today and then the rain brought a tiny peace. So many displaced people without homes- so many children just wanting to play-an elderly couple flee with the clothes on their back while their home of many generations is lost under the hot lava- hidden tears flow into a molten river that fish won’t see. Every disaster is different -so where to start ? I guess somewhere - tomorrow will be a good somewhere day and another day to love.
The people who fled their villages have nothing left- the women quietly asked us for sanitary napkins, undergarments and hygeine items.
That night we went back to Walmart in the main city and bought 3000$ worth of goods plus medicines for 2nd degree burns- ( the goods were donated by Global Empowerment Mission. )
The firefighters need assistence with Respirator masks /gloves /raincoats etc.
Love Dr Alison Thompson
Thankyou to Michael Capponi And Global Empowerment Mission for funding this mission and Thankyou to @UnitedBadgesofHonor for your years of fire fighting experience.

THE DEATH TOLL IS RISING.
Any amount you give will directly help those affected by the deadly eruption of the Volcano of Fire.
Al Magdaleno from Citizens Of The World will go next week and deliver your generous donations collected thus far. Stay tuned for needs- Remember ...Everyones Needed.
Guatemala is a nation already so stressed with poverty. Band together with us. Together we can show Guatemala and our world how people of different races, religions, beliefs, nationalities, color, gender, disabilities and age - can put aside any differences - for a common cause... To help other humans in crisis.
As always, when we return, donors can see what their donations have done and the people you have affected. Thank you everyone in advance.
