In the middle of this Coronavirus pandemic, the crisis in Yemen has worsened dramatically. Millions of people are already displaced by war, and their lives are in great peril due to fighting, famine and a lack of medical supplies. These innocent people are suffering in ways we can't imagine.
This makes me realize how good I have it here at home. Here in America, we don't have that turmoil. I live in an air-conditioned, electric-powered house. Food and water are afterthoughts since we have plenty of both, even during a pandemic. I have access to the internet, and it lets me binge on Netflix shows and play videogames. I don't have any meaningful struggles here.
I'm tired of lounging around, doing nothing productive in this world when I know people need help. As someone who isn't faced with a daily struggle for survival, I'd like to help out the people of Yemen through supporting IRC's programs that are there on the ground. Please join me in my campaign to help the people in Yemen; you and I cannot go there to help them, so let's help fund those who can so they can make a difference.
