The International Surgical Health Initiative (ISHI) has received an urgent call for a half-ton of medical supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) from Beirut, Lebanon, in light of the August 4th explosion. Thousands of people have been injured and hospitals in the city have been damaged or destroyed.
Healthcare providers are now in dire need of supplies to treat victims of the explosion as well as to keep safe while treating patients suffering from COVID as the pandemic worsens in the city.
ISHI is a non-profit volunteer organization which provides surgical care through mission trips to low-resource settings across the globe. ISHI has partenered with medical supply recovery groups at Rutgers and throughout New Jersey to collect and deliver medical supplies and PPE to Beirut.
Your generous, tax-deductible donations go directly to ISHI to help cover the costs of shipping supplies ($2000) from New Jersey to physicians and providers in Beirut. Help us answer the call for the #BeirutHalfTonChallenge!
