Greetings from Boston Children’s Museum!
We are Georgia and Frida, two painted turtles currently living and working in the Investigate exhibit. We are the latest in a long line of turtles (starting over 40 years ago!) who have occupied this space before us!
We are on the market for a new tank, which will allow us to gather even more observational data on the humans who visit the Museum. Since we both live and work in our office, it is particularly important that it be state-of-the-art.
From our point of view, our home in Investigate provides a wonderful location for us to conduct our important research – observing and learning about the many humans who visit our exhibit and interact with us. Sometimes children will stand in front of the tank or on the sides, while others lay underneath. We observe their reactions to us, and sometimes, we hear children say they have never seen live turtles before! This gives us the chance to swim around and show off, usually making the smaller humans very excited. Our favorite part of our job as two of the Museum’s most active researchers is greeting and studying all of our different visitors. We hope you will stop by to see us during your next visit! With much appreciation from two Museum ambassadors, thank you for making a gift to the Annual Fund!
