Thank you so much for coming to our page to support Thrive For Life Prison Project during this unprecedented time!
The entire mission of the Thrive For Life Prison Project is built around providing transformative services to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated persons. While our visits to our partnering prisons and jails are temporarily halted, we continue working tirelessly with the residents of Ignacio House, our supportive transitional housing for formerly incarcerated persons, to ensure their living needs are met. With workplaces all across the New York City area shut down indefinitely due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the residents, through no fault of their own, no longer have jobs to go to and earn money. As a result, they are unable to contribute to their living expenses at Ignacio House.
We are saddened, but we cannot despair. We will not despair! There is still much work to be done, but we need your help. Without your assistance, residents of Ignacio House will be transferred to the unsafe and unsanitary New York City shelter system.
Please consider a donation of $50 to permit us to keep the lights on, the heat on, and a roof over the residents at Ignacio House. Collectively, these gifts will allow us to ride out these uncertain times and permit the residents to continue sheltering in place in a warm, safe, and supportive living environment. As one of our resident brothers said, "“We can get through this, we have each other, and we have been through tougher times.” We WILL get through this time together, and we need YOUR help to do this! Thank you for reading, and we hope that you will be able to help us continue to transform the lives of formerly incarcerated persons!!
