We are a 501 (c)(3) community development organization founded in 2009 by military veterans and mental health professionals with a mission to end homelessness in the military community. We help homeless veterans and families of active duty service members in a housing crisis.
The most recent veteran stats according to the Veteran Administration show:
• US Veterans – 18,496,937
• Homeless Veterans nationwide – 40,000
• Unemployed Veterans – 1,054,325
• Living in Poverty – 2,312,117
• Disabled – 2,867,025
California has the highest rate of homeless persons in the nation. There is also a severe shortage of affordable housing in Los Angeles County California. Donating to this campaign will help reduce the number of chronic homeless persons in the military community.
HOW WE USE YOUR DONATION
Funds raised provide emergency and permanent housing. We pay the deposit or first months’ rent, a motel voucher up to one month for a family to immediately move out of homelessness, and delinquent rent to prevent eviction and household becoming homeless.
